We tested waverunners there when I worked with Yamaha all the time and had no problems. Never been on with a big boat, but the water is different than Louisiana. There are fairly large fluctuations in depth depending on time of year and rainfall, like up to 10-12 feet. Watch out for stumps, submerged roads and the occasional house. But you're probably used to that already
