hey..
not pat, but a fellow trailer boater....the ramp in old saybrook is free with good parking, i think pat uses haddam for a small fee..i also think that he, like i do , keeps his boat in his yard..for free
i'm out of branford...the ramp and parking are free..but you get what you pay for
...
if you go he trailer route, set yourself up by the book...if you're cheap, the only person who'll loose days on the water is you....

Hey Condor Bob,
How are things?
Did you install that drive spacer or are you going to give a 5 blade a try first?
I keep my boat at Castle Marina (the old Chester marina). Bruce charged $27 per foot last year for summer storage and unlimited use of the launch ramp. No, I have never had anything stolen from my boat.
Hays Haven has a much nicer ramp that you can purchase a season pass for, but I don't believe they will let you store. Chester Marina (the old CT River marina) did look like they were installing a ramp, but I'm not sure if it was completed.
The other place that I know of that does have a summer storage deal and ramp is Midway Marina in Haddam.
Hope to see you on the water soon!

hi guys, thanks for the replys,i was in the area today and i called hays haven,he told me $20 a foot, launch fees included, security cameras on the boat for protection and a night guard, plus they have nice bathrooms! sounds like a no brainer. hays launch is sweet too. pat i did get a 1 inch spacer and the p5x prop, hopefully i can get this boat dialed in better this season, i wish i had bit the bullet and had the heads done when the motor was out and apart, i think it would've pulled my package together better, it takes alot of hp to keep up with you superboaters
talk to you soon,bob

Hays Haven is a nice spot. If you keep your boat there, I'm sure we will get together more.
Bob your boat was only a tick or two slower than mine last years and I'm sure if you had found the time to add the spacer, we would have been side by side.
I did have the heads on my engine bowl ported and cut 0.010 to raise the compression a little, but I'm not sure how much power that added. I did stayed with the stock 502mag cam when I did the rebuild. I would guess the porting would have even more of an effect with a larger cam such as you are running. This year I will add 1.8 ratio roller rockers at some point. That should help some.
See you soon,

Hey Bob,
Did you decide if you are keeping your boat at Hay's Haven?
When are you going to be ready to rumble?
I'd love to try your P5X and you may want to try my modified B1.
