Question to Pat McPherson
I noticed in the last couple weeks you have mentioned a 24' Hybrid and an FX24 (maybe one in the same).
I know curiosty killed the cat but what is it?

Re: Question to Pat McPherson
Hi,
FX10 had talked about building a custom/prototype 24' for himself last winter.
Hopefully he will chime in as to the status. It may be top secret though...

Re: Question to Pat McPherson
Last winter I wanted to make a center console 24 with a small cuddy up front for the girls (potti). Coen gave me hell, telling me there would be no resale on it. I don't care.... I wasn't planning on selling it. Anyway, he squashed it.

Re: Question to Pat McPherson
Hey Guys,
Thanks for the replies. With all the buzz on performance center consoles, you would think that a resurrection of the Superboat 24' CC would be a hit. I know the narrow beam is not the best when at rest but would be great when running hard. The biggest complaint from my wife is not enough space in the performance hard deck boats.
I am looking for my next hull that would be in the 23'-25' range, have single outboard power and run at least 60 mph.
I like your Superboat Owners forum. Good bunch of guys.

Re: Question to Pat McPherson
I personaly believe the 30 Y2K would make the best case for a CC. The long nose certainly would accomidate a nice enclosed V berth. The narrow gunals maximize walkaround area. A couple L (shortened)shaped lounges forward of a center console(ctr. console with inclosed porta-poti). Side by side buckets or drop-outs and a pair of optimax's....Hmmmm...

Re: Question to Pat McPherson
Gotta have the cuddy option IMO, though the current area V-berth would make a great fishing platform. The current deck has a great line. I'd move the bulkhead if possible back to the point where the front of the porta-poti compartment starts for a step down area. A molded hatch with steps or a pocket door. Slide the rear bench back to the transome leaving space for a fish/srorage box. A nice bracket/platform to hang the motas. Sh!t I'm gettin excited...
