I wanted to chrome my zero effort shifters and throttles.
I started to take off the black and red stickers on the throttles and found red plastic inserts in the centers.
I know the plastic centers will melt if you powder coat them or chrome them.
Has anyone ever taken out the red centers? or can you buy chrome sticks?
Any ideas?

It's been a few years but if I remember correctly, the red centers snap in and out. You can also purchace them, they are sold individually and I think there's 2 per handle. Don't think Merc has chrome handles.
