Any year......their big bucks.....are they the real deal over the long haul??

We just got in a 1997 Chevy 3500 Extra cab silverado Dually with a 6.5 Diesel
Its got 277,000 miles and seems to run great & not in bad shape any takers

Had a 142k on both a 03 Duramax and F350 duallys. Both wre great very little problems.

Injectors and Allison went out at 110k on GMC

fuel pump only on the F350.

Both were lost in the storm

check with "gardnerteam" over @ the dieselplace.com He has a fleet of them that run over the road nonstop. He started right out with '01's and still buys 'em! If I remember correct he's had more than one well over 200K working.

Saw one on ebay with 469K miles, sold for 12k I think.

My 06 is going on 16k miles, got 2 recalls and a TSB I haven't got around to doing yet.

Got a 2 1/2 year old 03 with 70K on it. No drama, replaced tires only. One battery went bad, GM replaced at 60K miles, N/C due to cracking in the battery case.

I looked at an 03 GMC 3500 d-max locally that had 350,000 miles on it. Don't know the history of it though.

Not the same engine. I had a brand new Chebby 6.5. Beautiful truck, every option other than 4wd, ground effects, Outlaw Package etc. I ended up using the lemon law on it. It wasn't the engine, it was mostly the rear end, and other stuff. It was a dog compared to today's diesels. 190 horsepower just doesn't cut it.

Just Paid 16 and change for an 02 F350 7.3L Powerstroke 4x4 with 188,000 on it. Mechanic says it good - I guess we will see....

Ford!!......and I thought you were a chevy guy......
