The newer trucks have a different type injector. From what I have been told they havn't had a failure yet. They are also easier to replace. I was told if you change the fuel filter on a regular basis the injectors won't have a problem. Dirt was going past some early filters and getting stuck on the seating surface of the injectors causing them to crack. I have 70K on my 2002 without a glitch.
