Does anyone know about these? Good, Bad, etc? I've never seen them before...These are on a 99 T/G

Here's an email I received today on this: ANYBODY ELSE KNOW ABOUT THESE?

Jim;
I called merc racing and found out from them that this NRS system was a good system. It is a full time muffler that runs out the y pipe and the transom without losing HP

I,m pretty sure a 99 Gun caught fire because of that system.

I dont think their good, If you read the new issue of extreme boats with the article where they interveiw Fred Kiekifier, he said he recalled all of them and bought them back.

If anyone has a copy of this article/edition, please let me know. Or at least a reprint of exactly what is said... If he bought them back, he owes me some cash...right?

That article was talking about a system from the late 80's early 90's. This is a 99? Are you sure? Somebody else has to have seen one of these things?
