Looks like the standard Merc through the prop hub exhaust with a balance tube.
If you saw the size of the hole all that exhaust has to pass through and the two 90 degree turns it makes flowing through the outdrive, you'll see that it can hurt performance. Most people toss the y-pipe and run tips straight through the transom. Less restriction = more HP.
