I'm currently replacing the stringer system in my 22 Donzi Classic. My plan is to fill the hollow strakes from the inside with fiberglass. Hopfully this will stiffen up the hull a little more. Does anybody have an opinion as to whether this would be a good thing or bad thing?

Use 1/4 round (trim) and fill with putty made from resin and some filler material (cabosil or similar), then glass over. It will stiffen up the hull.

filling them may stiffen it up a bit not sure if it would be enough to notice though. if you really want to do somthing to tighten up the bottom put a core in it.

That may be an option. Would coring it with Coosa Bluewater 26 be a good option?

probably better off with a Baltek or Dyvincyl. Coosa is better for bulkheads and stringers.

What would be the best thickness of coring?

1/2" or maybe 3/4" depends on how much room you have and stiffness you need to add. i would think 1/2 should be enough.

That sounds like a good plan. Would coring also be good for stiffening up the hull sides in addition to the hull bottom? Would I go all the way up to the rubrail?
