Default more H2O instead of mufflers

This might be a stupid question, but I'll ask it anyways.

I have been debating some sort of a clamp on/insert muffler system to slightly quiet down my Livorsi thru hull tips.

Can one increase the water flow to the tail pipes and wouldn't that muffle the exhaust a bit more? Just a thought.

On another note, has anyone tried the new cmi mufflers?
