Default Trs drives Shift cable hook up

I have trs velvet drives I am putting new controls in .Can any one tell me witch way the shift lever on the drive is supposed to be.. when in forward...(looking at the drives from inside the boat)... Thanks guys

I am not 100% sure but if memory serves when you shift into forwar the lever moves to the starboard side of the boat.

The levers move what looks like toward the front and toward the rear which one is which ?????? thanks
