Go to www.amazon.com look for "How To Rename your Boat" (by John Vigor) in the book section you can scroll to the bottom of the book and read the pages. Kind of interesting. I've been putting off renaming my boat for the reason of wanting to use the name off my old boat and wasn't too sure about it either?? I have lots of new names to choose from but just can't make up my mind. Good luck. My opinion is that if your old boat was lucky than how can it hurt by using the name again.

I think that you can rename a previously named boat, many owners take the name off the boat before they sell it. Also you can reuse your old name their are tons of boats with II III IV V after their boat names.
