I Have Insta Trim Trim Tabs 12"x12" And Am Looking To Upgrade To A K-plane Style Tab. What Are Your Opinions On Tabs To Buy For A Boat With Twins 29' Footer? What Advantages Will It Make For Me ? How Big Of A Tab Should I Purchase? Do The Kits Come With Pumps And Indicators?

Insta-trim has a 12x16 tab available that uses your existing pump and cylinders.I just bought them for my 33' Outlaw. They are shaped like a K-plane,I wanted K-planes but didn't want to spend all that cheese.I paid 350 clams for them.

I Called Insta Trim I Think I Spoke With Brian. 12x16 Was The Largest Tab They Can Make Me. I'm Thinking More Of 12x24 Or 12x28 With A Taper Of 4 Inches At The Tip. Plus When Leveling Out The Tab With The Hull Using A Straight Edge And Marking My Indicator Once I Make A Change In Tab Position And Recheck The Levelness To Hull(after Positioning Back To My Mark) It's Not In The Same Position And Not Level With The Hull Anymore. I Would Like To Have Something More Reliable (accurate). My Opinion Is That Insta Trim Is More For A Cruiser Than Performance Boat. Sorry But Thats My Opinion. The Pistons Are Always Leaking. I Replaced One Last Season And Now 2 More Are Leaking. Way Too Many Boats I See With These Tabs (insta Trim).
