350 Sbc Go Faster Question
I have a 350 SBC in my boat that started life as a 250 HP Vortec carbed engine. Since then I have upgraded it some. I installed Trick Flow 23 degree CNC Aluminum heads, Edelbrock air gap RPM intake manifold, Berry Grant Mighty Sea Demon carb Re-Worked by Mr. Nickerson, full MSD ignition, stainless marine exhaust and GGB Muflers (got busted with the straight thru) now my question. Will I gain any top end changing to a single plane intake? If so which should I use? My top RPM is 5100/5200.

There have been several tests on SBC,s showing that the Performer RPM air gap produces the most torque under 6K. A super victor will edge out the Performer RPM in hp above aprox 5750. At 6K the Performer RPM is down something like 6 HP compared the super victor, but overall and peak torque still goes to the Performer RPM air gap.
