Default How shallow does your depth gauge read before...

How shallow does your depth gauge read before you throttle up to get on plane? I'm probably way to conservative looking for a reading of 5' ever since I installed solid hubbed Stainless 4-blade props. I'm sure that most of ya'll have much more sophisticated and more expensive equipment than me!

5 Feet? Boating in the Barnegat Bay, the only place I see 5ft plus is in the lagoons.
