Default Drive goes 'In' not 'Out'..won't lift

I have an 84 26 ft Chris Craft Stinger with twin 350's and alpha drives. After being out on the water all day yesterday I noticed that my Starboard drive hadn't lifted when I pulled it out of the water and onto the trailer.

I can hear the pump work when I move the lift switch to 'In' (lower the drive) but only silence when I move the switch to 'Out' (lift the drive). I can run it like this but am concerned about dragging the outdrive when trailering. Could make a real neat groove in the road though(not).

Any thoughts?

Thanks

The up solenoid or the switch, check it out with a volt meter to see if both the blue & white wire at the pump is getting power. If it shows good current then get a new solenoid, it is a pretty easy and quick job.

have you tryed it with the trailer switch if it works with the trailer switch it means that you need a trim limit switch
