Has anyone actually blown a number 6 drive. It would be the upper if anything right? At speed not left the throt up and shifted.

Last year at Point Pleasant (Ortley Beach) the AMF Outer Limits blew the bottom off a #6-everything was gone below the cavitation plate

I blew two #6's but it was due to the front nose cone coming lose and allowing water into the case. Finally had to replace the lower casing.

never heard of one on a pleasure, but them again never heard of a Konrad failure either,

I blow the prop shaft right out of a #6 drive with 1200hp

was that because of the spinout? or was that another time?

Nope, no spin out, just running. And there were no marks on th hull, so I don't think they hit something, just blowed it up-with T53 turbines of course
