Hi everybody
Today was a nice day for boating, so this was what I did. When I started my motor the tach indicated 1200 RPM usually it is about 700, got on plane and at 30 MPH before it was about 3000RPM today 4800RPM and at WOT before it was at 4950 today 6000 RPM.

The Tach is a Faria with hour counter integrated and the engine is Mercruiser 6.2L 2001, any idea about this problem.
Thank you in advance

i'm not sure about yours , but i had one that was off and when i pulled it out there was an adjustment on the back for correcting it , i just used a car tach to get a baseline and reset mine to the correct setting
