Default Diesel OBs

Anyone hear of this?
Supposedly Evinrude or Johnson are working on this.
Some modifications are allowing current engines to run on diesel...
Lose 10% HP, but gain torque.

The military asked merc to builed em. The military only wants to have to supply one fuel.

Tim G. does not work for Evinrude anymore. He probably won't have any insight.

Most of the big company's are using two stroke engines and modifiying them to run on diesel. They smoke alot and are hard starting.

I know of one small company here in florida that is building a true diesel outboard, but I can't give out any more info than that.......... But it should be ready within the next year.

Yes they do. But they are small horse power and very heavy for there size.

I am talking about a diesel outboard that weighs less than a 250 verado but has the torque of a 525......

for the most part the military wants to be able to run different fuels through one mtr as with most of there equipment with a diesel this is possible with a gas mtr it for the most part is not
