Is it a Mark 4, or Gen 5 or 6 motor?

Since you dont need the filter bypass in the Mark 4 "coffee can" oil filter adapter, you can get all aftermarket stuff.
On my last Gen 5 motors, I bought aftermarket adapters and remote filters. Then I made my own S/S AN lines and used NPT to AN adapters on the fittings.
Any aftermarket stainless hose is going to be better than the merc ones, and you dont have to deal with the oddball inverted flare hoses they use.

Keep in mind the temperature rating of the hose.

For hose, I would agree with GOODT. If you dont care about the pretty stainless braided hose and aluminum ends, you can use rubber coated hose and brass ends for a third the price.
They even have Push-Loc that is rated for those temps and pressures.
BTW, the bigger Merc oil coolers (ie 500hp) are fine for most applications. But once again, you can get the pretty chrome plated aftermarket brass ones for a few bucks more.

i have a 365 mag motor that has been reworked. i threw out the little oil cooler that comes stock and bought a combo p/s-engine oil cooler from revolution marine. it's 3" in dia. and about 20inches long. my motor has about 15hrs.on it,and i am pleased with the cooler. it's also very reasonably priced. i used a cloth braided rubber hose from good year that was rated at 300psi and 300 deg. temp. brass push-lock fittings were easy to deal with, and were rated for a ton of pressure.good luck.

btw..stock merc oil lines and fittings are just BARELY 3/8 in. ID, at least on the black motors. Not enough ID for say 500 hp. Oil temp gauge will tell you that.
