Post another LOTO shootout question

I see the smallest class is 22'. Can someone tell me how many boats were in 22' deep vee, I/O class last year? and what speeds were they running?

Thanks

Travis

It depends on what class, stock, modified, or blown. Stock was high 60's I beieve and Gordo won the modified with 81. Don't know about blown.

Just how many 22 or 23' boats ran in the Shootout? It gets very rough out there. Could you actaully run a 22 ft boat wfo (cat or deep vee) in the Shootout. I have not been to a shootout since 1993 but it was rough back then.

Traviss,
That size is divided up into these classes;
22'-26' stock small block
22'-26' modified small block
22'-26' stock big block
22'-26' modified big block
22'-26' "Factory" class. (Must have mercury sealed 500HP carb or efi)

I have won;
22-26 stock big block in my Velocity @ 71mph,
22-26 modified small block in a 22' Chris Craft Stinger @ 63mph,
22-26 "Factory" class in my Active Thunder at 78mph (1999) and 81mph (2001)
26-30 single stock big block in a 29 Scarab @ 60mph.
Hope these speeds help, but there is a website that has all the winning speeds you can look at also.
I'd send you the link, but I lost it when my old computer died.

Rapid22, the water is calm. Half the channel is for the runs and the other half is no wake for spectators.

You could easily run a 20' boat on that water (judging from what I saw last year). I think they should lower the minimum to 20 so TWright can run his 20' Seebold Warrior tunnel at 130 mph!!!!
