Shopping 31's- rigging questions

If I remember right, quite a few of these were sold bare hull and rigged by various sources. Is there a concensus on where the X should be? I'd hate to buy a boat that had a goofy setup

What'll these do in full pleasure version, complete cabin and HP500's (or other close examples)?

Are they an 8'6" beam?

Seems like some hulls were way heavier? What yrs etc?

I'm entertaining the idea of going to a 3100 Cat, anyone have any input as far as performance numbers with HP500's how do these hulls handle the sloppy waters? I would be comparing it to my current boat 35 Fountain

Looked at this boat when I was at LOTO for the shootout. It looked to be very clean and in very good condition. The price is very good. If you can get me the VIN number I can probably tell you the original owner
