The annual White Marlin Fishing Tournament in OC Maryland< glad everyone is OK....
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PORTSMOUTH, Va.- Good Samaritans rescued seven people from a sport fishing boat Wednesday morning about 30 miles east of Ocean City, Md.

The Coast Guard received a report that the 60-foot Dream Catcher- a participant in the White Marlin Open fishing tournament- was taking on water at 5:30 a.m. The reporting vessel told Coast Guard controllers that several fishing boats in the area were coming to assist. By 5:40 a.m., the boats began pulling people from the sinking Dream Catcher. The last person was rescued at 6:15 a.m., just before a Coast Guard 47-foot rescue boat from Station Ocean City arrived at the scene.

SeaToy rescued three of the people, and Fighting Lady rescued four. The people from Dream Catcher remained with their rescuers until fishing was done for the day.

The Coast Guard boat and a Dolphin helicopter from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City, N.J., remained in the area to evaluate pollution. Plans for salvage are unknown at this time.

There were no reported injuries.

I wonder if there will be an attempt to recover the boat? If so how would they do that?

Salvage divers would go down and attached big inflatable balloons, and then a tug boat would slowly drag to shallow/safer waters where it could be craned out by barge.
