Default 4x4 4-wheeler

Looking at getting a 4 wheeler to hunt off of. Yamaha grizzly is on the short list. Anyone have one? Pros or cons?

I have gone through all the evaluation and a grizzly is definitely the one I will buy next. Great speed for a utility and plenty of pulling power. They have the new Fuel injected 700 out but I hate to buy things on introduction. The carb 660 is still available also.

Good luck!!!

Just bought an used 2005 Yamaha Griz and it is a hell of a machine. Lots of power, feels good on the trail. I will change the tires to 6 ply for trail running and add the wench to it. When you compair the spects, the Griz is a little better machine, not to say the hondas or kaw's are bad. Just my choise. Very few can be found used either, that says something also.........

Good luck in your search.

660 Grizz is a great bike, has true front diff lock and was the sportiest of the big 4x4's for a long time. There are other choices out there and more power to be had.

Bombardier and Kawasaki make good bikes also.

I would buy another for what it's worth, though my neighbours 800 Bombardier is a real blast to ride with 62HP.

I have a Grizzly, Suzuki 700 King Quad, Kawasaki Brute Force 750 and a Polaris 500. They are all great machines. I would be hard pressed to pick just ONE. If you are leaning towards the Grizzly, you really can't go wrong, it is very dependable and runs well. The new 700 Grizzly would be worth the wait. The power steering is really neat.

Good luck.

I was just reading about the 700 Grizzly here http://blog.kingsoutdoorworld.com/20...a-grizzly-700/

Power steering I could use that with my Big Outlaw tires. When my 660 is in diff-lock in deep mud it really takes some serious muscle to change direction, I can do it, but my wife ends up going where the tires take her
