Saw this site from yahoo and was wondering what is the best prop for my 1989 Searay 260 ov. It has a single 454 with a Bravo 1.

Stock motor (Merc 454) and stock (bravo 1) outdrive. I am running a 19 mirage at 4500 rpms.

Is it the Mag or Non-Mag motor?

3 blade props were the state of the art props in your vintage. They will still be the go to option. However there are some other options depending on your ultimate goals. If you want to discuss the alternatives, give us a call at your leisure.

I also have an 89 260 OV

I ran both 19 and 21 pitch Mirage.

The 21 labbed was the best fortop speed.

I aslo liked the 4-blade Revolution probably a labbed 19 would be best for you.......Brett at BBlades was very helpful and has all the props and a great trial program.

Your motor needs to run a 4200-4600 RPM at WOT. For max top end 4500-4600 RPM at WOT. YOur 19P is running about were it should be at the 4500 RPM. So if you are looking for a little more top end then I would run a 21P Lab Finished prop and you should pick up about 2 MPH.
