well put everything back together and know i start it and it is shaking the whole boat................i hyrolocked it with the old exhaust and broke two roller lifters i went through the whole motor and did not find anything else wrong so i put it back together with new rod and mains(bearings) .camshaft, roller lifters oil pump and etc now it shakes like it is going to vibrate right out of the boat

Did you cross some plug wires?

did you check the connecting rods after you hydro locked it?

what rat said.....usually a hydro will bend a rod

How about the flywheel? There are internal and external wheels.

Yes, this is almost guaranteed. Many people miss this when tearing down/ re-assembling the motor.

Also, if the lifters broke from this 'hydrolocking' then the pressure against that valvetrain was huge and I'd look at those valves to see if bent and hanging up, broken valvesprings, rusted seats, etc,etc,etc.

Water can only compress so far and then it's time for something else to give.

On the minor aspect of things - double check your wires, plugs, timing, etc,etc,etc,etc and flywheel if exxternally balanced and dowel wasn't present to orient it correctly.

this is why i love this site and you guys..................when i posted iwas on my way to my buddies shop to pull the motor ........i did check all the rods and they were good the problem was the flywheel was 180 out, no dowel pin in the crank so o put it on a 180 out put the motor back in and it was like a sewing machine........
