I am looking at trading my 1995 PQ in for a 2000 Maxum at a dealer called Clinton Marine in Weldon Illinois. I have been talking to Jeff Gibbs, his family owns the dealership. He sounds very knowledgable about boats and I was just looking to get any kind of references on the place. Any info would be appreciated.

Why would you want a Maxxum? They're built by Bayliner, and in my experience with them, they're lesser quality, which isn't saying much.
By the way, I'm a boat mechanic, so I've worked on quite a few.

From what I have heard, Brunswick owns alot of these models, including Sea Ray, Maxum, and Bayliner. I was told by a surveyor that they all go down the same line in the beginning, then get different finishing stages with interiors, options, etc... Have you done mechanical and glass work on these boats before?

The mechanicals are all fine. Merc power and propulsion. It's the way the rest of the boat is built that's the problem. Thin glass, lack of screws where needed ( using sealant to hold things together), just cheaply built. Most of them you can grab ahold of the side of the boat,(right about where you step in) and pull back and forth and it will move about 3". All three manufacturers you mentioned are built for one pupose, entry level buyers that want a certain style of boat without the price of better quality boats.Try looking at builders like Caravelle, Cobalt, Glastron, or Four Winns.
