My 92 baja 240 middle floor board is rotted out. I just picked up the boat this past summer. Is this an indication the boat may have taken on some H2O ?? The old floor was coated with fiberglass, can I just replace with marine ply ?
Thanks

I have had many boats over the years have rotten wood.... I use http://www.rotdoctor.com/ CPES will help out alot, along with thier resin
I use CPES on all wood, turns it into almost rock even if its rotten...

Yep, happended to my 1991 boat as well a few years ago. Moisture just built up over time and use and the wood rotted. It was not marine plywood....... I cut it our and replaced it with marine plywood coated on both sides with glass and resin. Should be good for about 83 years or so! Solid as a rock.
