Default Separating the Bravo lower

What's involved in separating the Bravo lower drive from the upper? I'd like to paint the lowers this winter but don't know if it's a big job or not to separate it...thx.

Not a big job only the bolts hold the bottom to the upper. It's been a while since I did a bravo - if I remember there are o rings and maybe a seal in there. Someone on here will know but it is a very simple job.

Six studs/nuts + the anode bolt. It takes all of 5 minutes (if you work slow) to get them apart.

That's good information. I'm interested in trying shorties so now I know what to expect.

Drain oil first, pull zinc anode on back and the hidden 7nth bolt under it that holds drive together, loosen the six nuts and let it down evenly,Smitty
