Mike was sponsored by Bud light,OMC and 7-11 the boats had 3 V8 outboards around 400 hp a piece, one of his old boats is used by the US Navy out in California. This pic is from the 86 Miami-Nassau and back race.(Photo courtesy of John Crouse, Searace)

I know Walter Payton and Chuck Norris set a record going from Chicago to Detroit in a 38 Scarab and think Michael Regan did the Venice to Monte Carlo run . Larry Smith recruited lot of celebs to do the endurance runs .

Default Thanks for the offer !

It's turning into a cliffhanger, I bet I'm on top of an iceberg of Scarab fans logging on and off hoping to see the pictures. Best of luck with the posting and thanks for keeping the memories of historic record runs alive.

sorry for the delay , here's the Mike Reagan
7-Eleven Scarab . He told me they broke one of the outboard's leg hitting a log , loosing to make a record time ,running on two outboards only. He sad only the Mississippi can have worse log infestation in a river !

Default A BIG thank You !

Been off the forum for a while, but now got to thank You for the Reagan Scarab picture. I'm writing Santa about more old LS Scarab pictures from the OSO forum members.
