From: Omaha, Nebraska. Boat on the Mighty Mo! Longest river in the USA!
I Emailed and asked what pitch and RPM to achive 80MPH as advertised. He told me 25p maybe 23p and spinning it around 4,200 RPM.

No, mid 70s probably, very light boat, probably 3000lbs. XR eats some power. That carbed motor was 350hp at the prop. He is claiming low-mid 80s with a lot more to go. No chance on that engine. Maybe with a procharger.......

Also, a 25" prop and a 1.5 drive yields about 60mph at 4200rpm. Need to find out the drive ratio. Should do well over 60 so something is wrong.

I'm guessing this boat runs around 68-70 MPH. This hull makes for a fun little hotrod. I have an '88 Baja Sunsport 196 with a trued hull, a 400HP 383, and an Alpha SS spinning a labbed Mirage Plus 25P at 4950 RPM's. With a bow cover on and just me in the boat I see 73.2 MPH on GPS. Previously, with a 550HP high-comp 357, the boat ran 79.1. With an additional 125 HP shot of nitrous, it ran 84!
But, there wasn't much boat in the water, so it was a little hairy.

It's a neat little boat but not an 80mph boat. That magnum is a 365 hp engine, doubt it could turn a 25p prop. It's amazing how people can lie when they're selling something.
