First, took the 24 out for the last weekend of the year. were able to find some rough water, and there were some large party liners out, so hit some 4+ waves. Aired it our a couple times and barried the bow. Looked over at my wife and she had water all over her. She also had a huge smile on her face. Getting use to it, and it is running great. We run, on average, 65-70, and we still have some left. Can't wait till next summer.
Now to the props. We have a 27 pitch on there now. i also have a 25 Pitch mirrage plus. What are the major differences? What type of speeds should I see with the 25. I am thinking of switching next summer. Will I lose some low end with the 25?

Court you need to give us some gps speeds and rpms. Is the 27 a Mirage Plus? The 25 mirage plus should be able to hit 75 - 77 easily if the motor has the torque to turn it at 5200 or 5300.
The M+ has some more cupping and slightly different blade geometry than the std Mirage and runs about 1.5" bigger than stamped , about 200 rpms less than a std mirage 25. Guys have found the std mirage to be a little faster than the M+ because the blades are a little thinner. M+ has better trim control and holding grip in turns and planing off due to the added cupping. Good Luck, Chris

Thanks Chris. We have about 450hp, might be a little more. I think it is a standard 27 pitch. We are running about 65 MPH without trimming up. Trim it and get up to about 70 and are about 4800 rpms. Might be a little higher. Could trim it more and get more speed, but it starts getting lose on me, and I need to get use to it more. I might need to adjust the throttle as well, as will not go higher. Can get rpms up more as I trim it more, but I do not think I have hit 5000 rpms yet. I think I am starting to get some prop slip as I trim it more and more. When I pull the boat i will have to look at the prop I have on there.
What would anyone recommend for a prop next summer. Stick with a 27, got the 25+ or purchase something else.
