I am very close to pulling the trigger on one....can you guys tell me what you pay for insurance, with whom and in what state? Thanks...

3k in high theft, hurricane FL through Progressive. Was $1900 per year in 04 and going up $500 a year ever since. I have heard as low as 600-700 in the midwest with 5 month layups.

New SS - full replacement with 496 HO $7900; with 6.2 $1700. Progressive located in Va. Beach.

And the HO boat will be 8 MPH faster, not worth 6K a year to me!

To you maybe, But to 95% of the guys on here 8 MPH faster is as important as 8 inches longer for the girls

Fundamentally this difference could never be justified through actual experience. I would love to see the actuarial data to support this difference. I think they are telling you they do not want to insure the HOs. I'd go elsewhere if I had HOs.
