There are hundreds of determinate rating factors these days. Hurricanes is a big one!

Lots of other questions to ask, with who, what coverage, what other underlying coverages, what deductibles and on and on.

Shawn,
Check with John Patterson on Broad Street Rd. I have mine insured through him and have sent a few others his way.

Default 32 SS vs MCOB SS

Hi Guys,
Looking for a little input. Looking at upgrading from my 26 Powerquest to a 32 SS sunsation. The question is I'm not sure if I want a SS or MCOB. Any suggestions.

It really depends on you boating habits. I can confidently say that no matter which model you choose, you will not be disappointed......

I just ordered a new SS closed - ETA end of March!

Avoid any "Yacht" type policies. You will pay far more for stuff you don't need. Stick with recreational boat types. BTW you don't know the top speed. All you know is it's got these motors and it's this long...
Definitely call Bob Luellen at WWM. He has a very good relationship with Progressive's marine underwriting department.

Gizmo, sent you a PM.

Got kids? Boat inland? Don't overnight very much if at all? Nothing wrong with a mid-cabin. Negatives would be more vinyl/hardware exposed to the elements needing care-taking, and prone to deterioration. Passengers can't really ride up front on a choppy day, it would chip their teeth creating a scramble aft (I still remember my small bow-rider days). I think the boat ia tad heavier due to the extra glass insert etc. though I'm not 100% sure.

Those would be the main "negatives" I guess in my book when considering the MCOB version.
