Default MSD Crank Trigger Wheel Thickness?

How thick are they? The trigger wheel with the magnets in it, that mounts between the pulley and the crank dampner.
I know Kaama has them and others too. Can someone measure it for me? I would appreciate it.
I called MSD tech help and the guy was guessing.. 1/4" or maybe 3/8", but it could be a 1/2", but probably a 1/4 or so..

Great tech help. The guy couldnt keep up to me passed BBC.. "What kind of motor is it again?"...

Another question for those that have done it.. How did you space the front motor mounted accessories, like the Alt, PS pump, Seawater pump and AC compressor??

Thanks
Dick

I don't have a wheel to measure but you can cut down the back side of your balancer the thickness of the wheel so it pulls on the crank farther to make up for the added distance created by the wheel.

Dick, I wished I could help you, but my boat is all covered up. Stop by at Dave's shop (WESCO). He has used the MSD crank trigger system on his fuel injected SBI racing engines. He has a few laying around in his shop.

Thanks Bob and Mark. I will look into both suggestions. Depending on how thick it is, I may be able to cut the dampner hub down. Not sure how far I can go without causing other problems.
Looks like I am not in a rush anymore. Seems winter has fallen upon us. I cant believe I was boating just last Friday!! And now I have ice on the roof and driveway... Gotta love Michigan!

Thanks Guys
Dick
