Red face steering cable

I had a brain fart and forgot how to take the cable off the rear, I pulled the pin now what??????

take a rock and proceed to smash the holy hell out of what ever is in the way, yur changing it anyway,

just kidding

at the helm just turn the wheel, it should unwind with a lil pulling pressure on the cable

ha ha hah I all most took the bolt cutters out the wheel most have a safety clip which I I I I can't find on the end by the motor was there another clip I tried a wrench on the cable nut nothing ???

I had a tough time pulling the cable as well. Just pull the entire ram off and deal with the cable after.

what he said........ cable unscrews from the ram by the transom assmbly......
.when i did this ithought it just pulled out also....only to find i had to unscrew it

so it looks like the motor 1st then take the rest out, I'd cut it but someone local might want it. I THINK I PAID 250 TO 300 for helm and cable when the stock one broke. this is mint so why cut it and the motor is coming out to do new floor anyway.
