'99 Tahoe multifunction switch replacement.. help
#1
It appears my Tahoe has a bad multifucntion switch or wiring problem. Whenever I move my tilt-steering wheel the headlights go off. The headlights also turned off one time when using the right turn signal. Does anyone know how to remove this switch out of the steering column? It sure gets dark at night without any headlights.
I have searched the 'net for this answer and can't seem to find a complete answer.
Thanks in advance.

No big deal.
3 25 torx screws on the buttom side of the steering colum cover.remove them, pull out the tilt lever.split the steering cover and remove the buttom piece, now remove the 2 inverted torx screws that hold the upper cover in place.all you got now is 2 25 torx holding the multi function switch in place, one on top and one on the side.after thats done follow the wireing harness to the connector and using a 7mm socket loosen the connector.for the most part that petty much it.
make sure to push the horn contack in when installing the new switch
good luck
