Default Electric over Hydraulic Brakes

I've got a tri axle Myco trailer with standard surge brakes purchased new in 06. Is it a big job to add the electric over hydraulic system? and is it worth it?

I have the el/hy on my 3 axle Myco and they work great. Personally I like to have "brakes on demand" if U will as compared w/ surge style! 3rd trailer w/ them. Good luck!

I dont know the conversion cost but the 2 dont even compare. I've always had surge brakes on every trailer in the past. Elec/hyd on the new triple axle Myco and i was amazed at how much better they work. You stop better with the boat in tow than you do empty.

Default Huh?

You can't put regular electric brakes on the trailer can you? I think they have to be El/Hy because of getting wet.

I have a Myco trailer and would love to convert mine. Anybody know which manufacturer or model is best?

Myco actually sells a conversion kit I believe.

www.championtrailerparts.com can get you anything/everything you would need for the conversion, as long as you have disc brakes already. Call into the Tech Advisers at Champion. Most of them know what they are talking about.
