Question Merlin Intake

There is no water pump bypass fitting on the merlin intakes, Can you just plug the top of the circulating pump?

Would love to but I am using serpentine pulleys off of a fuel injected motor I have. If I already had V pulleys thats what I would have done. They want $450.00 for the crossover with the idler pulley on it.
