Default Hydromotive vs Bravo 1 props

Just wonder what the performance difference would be between the Bravo 1 vs the Hydromotive Quad? I tried a Bravo 1 last year and it seemed to give my boat a little to much lift in the stern. Will the hydro do the same?? Years ago I had a Scarab anf the Hydro was by far the fastest prop for the boat. But that was 12 years ago and things have changed.

Hydro Quad was faster than the Bravo on my boat as well.

If you have a Powerquest as in your Avatar then you want to stick with the Bravo I props as the Hydro QIV will lift the stern even more so.

Hydromotive also makes a Quad IV-X which is more similar to the Bravo (rounded blade tips), and from what I've been told is a more efficient prop. I have a 24" Q IV-X and it runs around 6-7% slip at WOT.

Yes, the QIV-X is Hydros bow lifting propeller.

Hey Ziemer,
Are running that Q IV-X on your Pantera?
If so, how does it compare to your M+ as far as top speed?

Yes.

In stock form it's slower. I'm going to have Todd at Hydromotive lab it for me and see if I can get it closer to the Mirage. The 24 doesn't get over the hump, and turn up like it should. I can only get 5000-5100 out of it. But, I also tried a 22" of the same prop and turned that one almost 6000 at 75 and change.

Unless Rob (Stormrider) had the prop cut into a M+, the Mirage I have is just a regular Mirage. I would like to try/find a 25" Mirage or Mirage + because I think that would prove to be the fastest and still keep the RPM's conservative (My 23 Mirage turns 5800+ @ 78 or so mph)
