Anyone know for sure of a muffler that will pass
the standard 90db 3ft of the transom test? I
have stock 496 Ho's. Please...dont say CMI. They
don't pass. We have Boats on our lake running them
and all have failed the patrols test and my tests with
my own DB meter. They run anywhere between 91
and 92 Db with stock 500's and 525's

I'll gladly send you a set of Gibson Bullets for testing.

I have heard good things about HPI. Don't have any first hand knowledge if it meet the 90db test, but maybe someone else here does.

Our hpi's work well on our 525's.

Have you had them sound tested?

I'll call you tomorrow afternoon. I'll be out of the shop tomorrow until about 3pm.

When I call, we'll make arraingments to get you what you need for a test.
