It's done. Just in time for Memorial day, 1 week ahead of my goal date. It has been 6 months of working on it here and there, but I finished sewing up the bench seat cusion today. The end result turned out pretty good. I was a little hesitant to start upholstering on my own having never done it before. But I'm pleased with it. There is not too much to sewing up vinyl just some planning. I figure I only have about $250 in material in it. This is my first boat, I bought it late October 06. I ran out of time to so the captains. But they were not really that bad. They will get new vinyl next fall. Here are some before and after of the interior.

All new wood. The back rest was pretty tricky. The old one was rotted so bad it disentigrated upon removal So I had no template to go off of. The new one weighs 50# and is 500 times stronger. I added 1" of high density K-flex to the top as it is a step down from the sun pad. I also added 1" to the sun pad. The K-Flex makes it feel oh, so nice.

Great job looks real nice, it beats paying someone else to do the job. I've got a friend that has a sewing mach. that he said I could borrow but to be frank I'm a little spooked about doing it myself. have fun this summer.
