I just pulled the Stinger out of the shop today after working on it all winter. I freshened up the engines, did the interior and replaced the drives with new Sterndrive engineering drives. I have it hooked up and am breaking it in as we speak. If I can get the little things wrapped up this week, I may try a real trial this weekend on the lake. Dan

Dan, that boat's lookin' good. Hopefully I'll get mine together before too much of the season's gone. The wife says it MUST be splashable by August for our Dale Hollow trip
I better get my azz in gear!
Did you go with counter-rotating when you put on those SEIs? I put CR on mine, and it drives way more neutral than my brother's Nova that has both RH rotation.
His is probably 10mph faster though.

We had a glorious weekend for weather in Ontario. I got my boat wet and had a great ten minute ride!!!
Seems that my impellor went on the starboard engine and it started to overheat, so I shut it off and nursed it back to dock with the port side engine only.
hrumphhhhhhhh. time to turn the wrenches again?

Looks good Dan, I am trying to get my new engine together this week, I hope for good results, I am rigging a BBC oil cooler to the limited this year too, lots of new things going on here this year!!
I will be calling you soon, I saw the docks are in at your place.

I had the boat out over the weekend. It ran great. I installed a set of the bennet trim tab indicators over the winter and it helps you keep track at all times of where your tabs are at. I would reccomend installing them If you are thinking about it. Now that my trim gauges work and with the trim tab gauges installed, I can really tweak the boat to its full potential. Dan

Impellor is fixed and took it out for a short swirl around the marina last night. Boat is loaded on trailer ready to go home to my home port, and I will be tearing up the open water this saturday...can hardly wait!
