Question Under propped???

I have SC Hawk 550's.....both blowers are in need of a rebuild.....at almost full throttle boost gauge indicates barely half pound of boost.....my question is...I just put 24 pitch Bravo ones on the boat and with the wind at my back today with LESS than full throttle I was turning almost 5100 rpm...when I get the blowers rebuilt...do I stand the risk of being underpropped??? The placard on the engine says 5200 max rpm....Dont want to get stuck with props I cant use.....

Spitfire, Let me know if you need to unload one of those props. I'm looking for a 24" Bravo, RH only though. Thanks

was that full or light on gas? it really doesn't matter cause if your only 100rpms off you will more than likly have to change props. If you need help getting rid of these props let me know i have a friend that could use them.

I wouldn't sell anything or buy anything UNTIL you run the boat with the rebuilt blowers.

After I made some modifications to my boat, the Bravo props were a size too small but I kept them for an alternate profile. They will work perfect when I need to pull a skier (Catalina).

Just a thought but when you get the blowers working correctly if you have 1.5 gearing you might need to change to 1.36 is correct for the Brovo s I think. Then the 25 might be good.

Thanx for the feed back.....I have been informed the bravo ones come in 24...26....28.....no 25's....hopefully the place I got them from will let me trade for 26's if I need to....I have also been told to expect a three week turn around for the blowers to be rebuilt.....
