Default Doing away with water pump on efi motor ??

Dad and I just picked up a 350 efi engine for my stinger, was considering doing away with the water pump on it. We were thinking that it might throw the computer off thowe, with the engine running that much cooler. Then we talked to a guy who said just to drill and tap the intake and put the water temp sense in that, it should keep the temp at where the computer likes it.. So will that be a legit way to get around fooling the computer.. As always thanks guys.

Keep the pump; you will not gain any performance.

and never run an efi motor cold.... or any motor for that matter. one of the primary sensor inputs is water temp. if it thinks its cold it will run rich... badly so... and as previous suggested, there is no other benefit at all.
