Default 525 efi getting hot

The oil is getting hot after i slow down or when i am going no wake.
old owner had the impeller go out i found the pieces in the oil cooler. I am pretty sure i got them all out. but its still having problems. What do you think? Would the oil viscosity be bad? I ran it for about 6hrs before i found all the pieces and i still have not changed the oil. Its only at no wake or when i slowdown. Thanks.

Just for grins i would pull the drain plugs on the bottom of the block and see how much silt comes out.

Silt? The motor has 60hrs. i probably shouldnt say hot because the oil temp gauge is not hooked up. The oil pressure goes down and it idles funny until the pressure comes up. Its comes back up in idle. I am pretty sure the oil is getting hot.

Put an oil temp gauge in and see what's really going on. by silt I would suspect b4m means sand. Thats a good idea. Run the codes and see if you have low oil pressure problems. That pcm keeps track of everything and will reduce power for low oil pressure and engine overheat.

what water pressure? usually if you have an obstruction on the raw water side of a closed cooling system you get higher than normal water pressure especially at speed.
also check volume of water leaving exhaust as this is another sign of or indication of circulation.
outside of that you can back flush the raw water side of the cooling system portion by portion from exhaust back if you want to be really thorough
