How do the 1997's 37 hold up with bravo drives? There are two for sale I may be interested in however I don't want drive problems all the time. Ant info on the two boats or the 1997 37 in general. Thanks

I had bravos on my 1998 37 OuterLimits, not really to bad, and I had tons of hp at one time, in the 800s per side. I also did full imco internal upgrades.
When I was in big stuff offshore in NJ, I had to be carefull, and I was way to stressed out during poker runs in big offshore water, since I liked to be out front. For me, it was a mistake having that much hp going through bravos. Having said that there are two key factors, how much HP, and how and where you boat.
Also, remember that in a boat of that vintage, unless they have been replaced, they are not XR drives, just plan old bravos.
All things considered, if you really like the OL, do regular maintenance, keep the hp reasonable, and drive somewhat carefull, you will be fine.

Buy a #6 boat and be done with drive problems, 2002 37 Quad Step with or with out power, Keith Eickert 1100's about 1 hr run time, Transom Assy's totally rebuilt, fresh drives, New 5 Blade Mercs. Very Nice boat! I'm looking for a 42. (302) 368-2860 (302) 354-4989
