Hey guys, i have a question for you. I bought an '88 10 Meter in the fall, all stock (454s w/TRS). The dealer serviced it, all fluids are fresh and full. I noticed last week that if I hold it at about 2200RPM (i had to plane off very slowly in traffic) the RPMs on one engine climb rapidly with no speed increase. I let off right away, my 1st thought was that the tranny was slipping. I revved them up individually under load and it didn't slip, everything was normal. If I push the throttles to plane normally, (from idle to about 3000) no slippage. Once on plane i can give it all the power it has from any speed and it doesnt slip. Is something slipping or could this be some sort of cavitation? Drives were all the way in and the tabs about half way down.

At 2200 the boat is laboring to get on plane ,a lot of air is passing under the boat, the prop must have grabbed some air. The other tests you did revealed nothing I don't think its anything to worry about.

Good luck and enjoy your new boat.
