new volvo duoprop dp-s with s/s props
all new upholstry
new paint/graphics
silent thunder

also, thinking of selling silent thunder and adding tube platform. what are they worth?

292's are pretty heavy and you might prefer having a 292 with Big Block motors versus Small Block 5.7's. I don't believe many 292's came with small block motors, however, the 272's often did.

PRICE= $28,000 to $33,000
Silent Thunder Platform = $250-$450 plus shipping

Everything I've ever read leads me to believe that the volvo setup is going to make it hard to sell, hence kills the value and with small blocks probably not a good choice, pretty heavy boat for small block power. In the early/mid 90s when I had my 272 big blocks, a friend bought a 272 with 350/alphas and it would only run about 54/55 on a good day.

That's going to be a tough boat to move with small blocks & Volvo Duoprop set-up. What type of speed will it run with that set-up?

not sure as project is not yet completed. couple more weeks till its finished. I decided to change out windshield to a fairing and gave myself a bunch more work and after pricing a tube swim platform I will be making my own next week. thanks for the input.

i agree the volvo setup with small blocks will hurt that resale. as far as a 272 with small blocks mine runs 57 gps allll day long. best it has run is 59.999999 with me and a full tank of fuel
