had an egr code at 8k miles, they replaced egr valve, another code at 23k miles, they re-flashed computer to make egr valve clean it self. There was no performance loss at all. I am at 50k miles now and that is the only issue I have had.

I have an '06 Chevy, Duramax, 4X4 1-ton van....I loved it so much I bought another Duramax van for one of my service techs. His EGR valve went first....7 hr job to replace it at the dealers.....last week mine went. The computer (at the dealers) said it needs replaced...there is a day of down time. But both computers were re-flashed last year, right after I bought them. Both are LLY's
